Kidz Biz Fair – Onalaska, Wisconsin

Where young entrepreneurs launch big ideas.

This is more than a fair. It is a magical opportunity for youth to be creative, try something new, have fun, make money, give back, and be supported by a community that believes in them.

This is not a craft fair or a flea market. It is a real opportunity for young people to make something, build a business, sell to real customers, and experience the confidence, courage, and responsibility that come from bringing an idea to life.

At the heart of this experience is something simple and powerful: young people get to make something, sell it to real customers, and experience the freedom and responsibility of earning money through their own effort.

About the Kidz Biz Fair

The Kidz Biz Fair is more than a marketplace. It is a space where young people can create, try, learn, sell, grow, and shine.

This event gives youth ages 6–17 the opportunity to turn their ideas into something real. They get to build a business, practice leadership, interact with customers, make money, and experience what it feels like to be supported by a community that believes in them.

It is creative. It is courageous. It is fun. It is community. And yes — it is a little bit magical.

The magic of this event is not just in the booths or the sales. The magic is in watching young people be brave enough to try. It is in seeing them create something with their own hands, talk to real customers, learn in real time, and discover that their ideas have value.

This is not a craft fair. It is a chance for youth to experience entrepreneurship, build confidence, take ownership, and feel what it is like when a whole community says, we believe in you.

Because when young people are given the chance to make something with their own hands, sell it to real customers, and experience the reward and responsibility of earning money, something special happens.

How the Fair Works

1. Kids create a business.

Participants develop a product or service, choose their pricing, create a business name, and think through how they want to present their idea.

2. They set up a booth.

Each business receives space at our one-day marketplace with an 8-foot table shared with one other business and 1–2 chairs. Tablecloths are not provided. Electricity is not available.

3. They sell to real customers.

Young entrepreneurs showcase their creativity, practice customer service, make sales, and keep their profits while a panel of judges reviews booths for awards.

We will accept up to 50 businesses.

Why a Kidz Biz Fair?

We believe young people need more opportunities to be creative, try something new, learn by doing, and discover what is possible.

The Kidz Biz Fair is not just about selling products. It is about confidence, courage, communication, responsibility, leadership, and resilience. It is a chance for youth to take an idea, bring it to life, and experience what it feels like to do something real.

It is also a chance to discover the joy of creating something with their own hands, the courage it takes to offer it to others, and the freedom and responsibility that come with earning money through their own effort.

It is a chance to have fun, make money, give back, and be encouraged by a community that shows up to support them.

This is what makes it magical.

The magic is in the trying. The learning. The courage. The conversation. The sales. The confidence that grows when a young person realizes, I made this. I did this. My idea matters.

It takes a village to help young people grow, and this fair is one of the ways our community comes together to champion the next generation.
